I spent my Christmas break working and trying to recover from being sick! It was hard trying to work and stop coughing up mucus at the same time. Bad part about it was I worked outside pushing carts! So when it rained it only made it worse. I remember when my mom asked me what I wanted for Christmas and the only thing I could think of was just getting better again. Days go by and it’s getting close to Christmas. I get a call saying that we weren’t going to Houston to see the family because my mom had to work. I was furious about the whole situation knowing that we didn’t have any Christmas stuff up. I felt like this year Christmas wasn’t the same. I remember when we would go all out for this holiday, but reality sets in and it just becomes another day. So I and my sister Elizabeth just sat watching T.V all day wishing that we were with our family and friends enjoying Christmas how it should be. I can’t really complain about my presents because it’s really the thought that counts. The weekend comes and I go to my grandmas to see the other half of the family. We celebrated Christmas and New Years, now at my grandmas we had everybody there, from cousins to aunts an uncles and also my little brother Tevin. I couldn’t have been happier because I felt like this was how Christmas should have been spent. We opened gifts and took memorable pictures together.
